Draft for Bobby. Everything marked NEEDS BOBBY is a blank we did not guess — prices, the delivery area, the business name and the shipping rules are his to set. Built by Hahn Technologies Corp, 3 September 2026.

🥭 Delray Beach · South Florida

“Not all those who wander are lost.”

Fruit that was on a tree in this county last week.

Not shipped green from another hemisphere and gassed on the way. South Florida grows some of the best tropical fruit on earth for about eight months of the year, and most people here never taste it at its peak. That is the whole idea.

Text Bobby — (561) 699-0134 What's ripe right now

We ship anywhere. If it is not right when it lands, tell me and I fix it that day.

Ripe mango, peeled and cut into chunks in a white bowl.

What's actually ripe, month by month

This is the part most fruit sellers will not show you, because it makes it obvious when they are selling something out of season.

FruitSeason hereWorth knowing
MangoMay – OctPeak is June and July. Dozens of varieties grow here and they taste nothing alike.
LonganJuly – AugShort window. Some trees carry longer.
Mamey sapoteApr – OctSweet-potato-and-almond. Eat it soft, never firm.
SapodillaFeb – May, Sept – NovTwo crops a year. The autumn one is starting now.
Lycheemid-May – early JulyThe shortest season of the lot. Blink and it is gone.
Avocado (Florida)summer into winterBigger and less oily than a Hass. Different fruit, really.
Carambola / starfruittwo crops, late summer & winterBest eaten ripe off the tree, not shipped.
Guava, papaya, coconutmost of the yearThe steady ones. Quality varies by grower, not by month.
Florida citruslate autumn – springThe winter half of the calendar. Worth waiting for.

Seasons shift a few weeks either way with the weather, and a cold snap or a hurricane changes everything. NEEDS BOBBY — confirm this against what your growers are actually cutting, and we will keep it honest week to week.

Ethically sourced

A short phrase that has to mean something, or it is just decoration.

We will tell you where it came from
Which grove, which grower, which county. If we cannot tell you, we should not be selling it to you. NEEDS BOBBY — the list of growers, once you have it.
Nothing gets wasted
A lot of fruit in this county falls and rots because nobody collected it. Picking it and getting it to somebody who will eat it is the least complicated good thing in this business.
Paid properly, every time
Whoever picks it gets paid for it. No exceptions, and no long stories about when.

Giving back

Two things, and Bobby names the amounts.

🐢 The turtles

Palm Beach County is one of the busiest sea turtle nesting stretches on earth, and nesting season runs March to October — right through mango season, on the same beaches Bobby's family has guarded for two generations.

NEEDS BOBBY — which organisation, and how much. We are not inventing a charity or a percentage you have not chosen.

🤝 The neighbourhood

Fruit that does not sell should go to people, not a bin. NEEDS BOBBY — which pantry or church, and on what day.

If it arrives bad, you did not buy it

This is the only question that matters when a stranger ships you fruit, so it goes near the top instead of hidden in a policy page.

Send one photo. That is the whole claim process.
Open the box, and if anything in it is bruised, split, mouldy or turned, photograph it and text the picture. No form, no ticket number, no returning anything — you are not posting rotten fruit back to Florida.
Refunded or replaced, your choice, same day
You pick which. We do not argue about a mango, and we do not ask you to prove you did not do it.
We pack for the journey, not for the photo
Fruit is chosen for the day it will land, not the day it ships. Ripe fruit for a short trip, firmer fruit for a long one. NEEDS BOBBY — carrier, cut-off time, and which states are one-day.

Nobody who ships perishable food enjoys writing this paragraph. That is exactly why it is worth writing.

Wholesale & introductions

If you buy fruit for a business, or you grow it and need somewhere for it to go, this part is for you.

🏪 Buying for a shop or kitchenJuice bars, restaurants, markets, caterers. Tell us what you go through in a week and we will quote it straight. NEEDS BOBBY — minimum order.
🌳 You have treesA mango tree that drops more than your family can eat is a business you did not know you had. We pick it, we pay you, nothing rots.
🤝 We will introduce youWe know growers, drivers and shops across two states. If we cannot sell you what you need, we will point you at somebody who can — no fee, no catch.

Two other things we sell

Watermelon cut into slices.🍉 Carolina watermelonsDavid brings them down from North Carolina — the ones people back home queue for. NEEDS BOBBY & DAVID — season, price and how many fit in a run.
🍹 Sweet teaSouthern sweet tea and fresh fruit belong together, and nobody around here is doing it properly. NEEDS BOBBY — is this a drink you sell, or fruit sold alongside somebody else's tea?

How this works

We ship it to youPacked the day it is picked and sent out. NEEDS BOBBY — carrier, cut-off time, and what it costs. Local delivery may come later; right now it goes in a box.
The price is the priceWhat you are quoted includes the box and the shipping. Nothing gets added on at the end. NEEDS BOBBY — the numbers themselves.
Picked for ripenessTell us the day you want to eat it and we choose accordingly. Fruit for tonight and fruit for Sunday are not the same fruit.

Who you are buying from

Bobby Wootton. Delray Beach.

He grew up on this water
Bobby was a lifeguard, and his dad still is. When somebody has spent their life watching a beach, they tend to notice things other people walk past — including which trees on which streets are worth knowing about.
He sold for years, in person
Bobby worked the counter at one of the best herb shops in Delray. That is where he learned what this business actually runs on: knowing your product, telling people the truth about it, and being findable afterwards.
You get his phone number, not a ticket system
Text him. He answers. If something is wrong he sorts it out himself, because there is nobody else to pass it to.

🐢 About the turtles

Bobby is a turtle guy. Palm Beach County is one of the busiest sea turtle nesting stretches in the world, and nesting season runs right through mango season — March into October, on the same beaches he grew up guarding.

NEEDS BOBBY — he wanted something here that gives back to the turtles. We are not going to invent a number or name a charity he has not chosen. Tell us what you want it to be and we will put it up exactly as you say it.

Get told when it is ripe

Lychee season is about six weeks long. Most people miss it every single year without ever deciding to.

A message when your fruit comes into season. Nothing else, and no list-selling — ever. NEEDS SETUP — not connected yet.

The other half of this

Bobby picked that line at the top for a reason. This is a business about things that grow and people who go places, and those turn out to be the same people.

Reading

Hydroponics, travel, camping, the parks, and what is actually changing in growing food. Short, specific, and written before it was needed.

Nothing published yetThe first pieces are being written now. NEEDS BOBBY — what do you want to say first?

About the fruit itself

Where these came from, and what is actually in them. Written carefully — see the note at the bottom.

MangoCultivated in South Asia for well over a thousand years and carried across the world from there. A good source of vitamin C and vitamin A.
WatermelonGrown in Africa for millennia. Around 90% water, and a natural source of potassium — which is why it is the first thing a lot of people reach for in the heat.
Lychee & longanSouthern China, recorded for roughly two thousand years. Both are notably high in vitamin C.
Mamey sapoteNative to Mexico and Central America. Dense, sweet, and a source of vitamin A, vitamin C and fibre.
GuavaTropical America. Ounce for ounce one of the highest vitamin C fruits there is.
AvocadoCultivated in Mexico for thousands of years. Mostly monounsaturated fat, plus potassium and fibre.

What you will never read on this site: that any fruit treats, prevents or cures anything. It does not, and saying so would be against the law as well as untrue. Fruit is food. It is nourishing, it tastes extraordinary when it is ripe and local, and that is the entire pitch.
